Лэнскйс - Basic Grammar Rules.

This is short and simple guide to basic grammar rules, how to edit and re-order words in the translator for to be grammatical, and is not complete. This is up to you to use and you may as well not edit and fix the translator’s output if you so wish not to. I don’t care.

Definitive Case

NOTE: Definite and indefinite articles in the translator are for convenience and not formally grammatical.
To edit a word into it’s definite case, the vowels shift as follows in the below example. Indefinite nouns are as translated in translator.

Word Order - Possessive Adjective Pronouns

Possessive adjective pronouns (my, your, his, her, its, our, their) are placed following the noun of possession, unlike in english.

“This is my coffee” (Ово са мю кава.) turns into “This is coffee my” (Ово са кава мю.)

Word Order - V2 Rule

In a neutral sentence, subject is placed at the beginning of the sentence (as following SVO), however the initial word may be switched around for emphasis. The second placed word is always the verb.

мйш (the mouse) лћрот (played) спүлро (a game) в паркэ (in the park) авёдэн (yesterday)
спүлро (a game) лћрот (played) мйш (the mouse) в паркэ (in the park) авёдэн (yesterday)
в паркэ (in the park) лћрот (played) мйш (the mouse) спүлро (a game) авёдэн (yesterday)
авёдэн (yesterday) лћрот (played) мйш (the mouse) спүлро (a game) в паркэ (in the park)

Word Order - Negations

Negations such as “not” (but also such as “don’t, hasn’t” in informal sense) can be placed either before or after the verb. As before, it is added to the verb as a prefix, and after remains a separate word.

Before as prefix, formal: “Я неда лй ест ябилки.” (I don’t eat apples.)
Before as prefix, informal: “Я неест ябилки.”
After as word, formal: “Я да лй ест не ябилки.”
After as word, informal: “Я ест не ябилки.”

Adjectives

How to format adjective when applied before to a noun. In such as “He is cute. The cat is cute” and the adjective follows the nouns as such, this change is not applicable.

If last consonant in noun is: Б, Д, Ђ, К, П, Т, Ћ, Ч В, Ж, З, Ј, Л, М, Н, Р, С, Х, Ш
Remove any vowels (if applicable) at the end of the adjective and add: ый эй

“The cat is cute.” (Кет са милсе.) - No change is made, adjective follows noun.
“The cute cat.” (Милсый кет.) - The last consonant in noun is “Т” and so then the vowel ending “Е” in end of “Милсе” is removed and replaced by “ЫЙ.”

“The mouse is blue.” (Мйш са мёпяђаи.) - No change is made, adjective follows noun.
“The blue mouse.” (Мёпяђэй мйш.) - The last consonant in noun is “Ш” and so then the vowel ending “АИ” in “Мёпяђаи” is replaced by “ЭЙ.”
